Well, although the first picture was taken 8 weeks ago, I didn’t start the programme until 6 weeks ago. So this is 2 weeks on from the last photo. Isn’t it a great idea to take photos – even in two weeks I can see a difference.
As mentioned on clear-for-life, observing progress is about seeing the developments from before rather than comparing to the overall goal each time. I think this is so true – always measuring the current state with the ideal leaves me dispirited – a case of ‘oh no, not there yet’. But… seeing the difference between now and a time ago e.g. two weeks ago, and it leaves me with a greater sense of achievement and progress.
Choosing to exercise, drink plenty of water, eat regularly, eat helpful foods, breathe fully and get as much sun and fresh air as possible each day is contributing to a new skin-friendly lifestyle. Mindset is key too I think. I’m feeling less anxious about spots and am consciously choosing to direct a TLC energy towards my skin rather than the previously impatient and hostile engery. It’ll take time to change this previous longstanding habit but looking back I can see a difference and that fills me with a good feeling.
